Annexe Housing is a pioneering community-led housing initiative emerging from listening to local residents concerns. As Locally Trusted Organisation for Dyke House Big Local and Power to Change Empowering Places programmes, the Trust secured funding and resident endorsement to purchase eight local properties with the aim of renting them out.

These homes serve a dual purpose: providing secure accommodation and generating sustainable income, while tenants are also invited to participate in community organising and social action work—building a cohort of civic leaders committed to neighbourhood improvement.

This project sits at the heart of our strategy to retain local economic value, develop co-ownership models, and promote long-term regeneration rooted in resident empowerment and collective community wealth building.

This model has been adopted by Organizing Germany.
